Running the Race

Nick Willis practised  and trained very hard. He ran in the 1500 metres  but  he didn’t come anywhere. Nick had a very good attitude towards the winner. He shook the winners hand.

Next week we are having cross country we have been training for it. We go down to the reserve to practice running. Then we run back to school and have a drink. I feel hot afterwards.

I watched the swimming

On Saturday I watched the swimming on channel 3. The man was the winner because he swam the fastest in his race. He won a gold medal.

The Tiger and the Deer

 

One day there was a tiger he was chasing the deer.
The deer ran  away from the tiger because it was afraid of it The deer went to be safe with the other deers.

At the beach picnic we made sandcastles with our teachers and friends. Warm, rough covered my legs and hands - some even went in my mouth. Using sticks and shells we decorated our castles. Everyone kicked and jumped on the castle to bust it down.

After building our sandcastles we played with squishy clay. Digging the clay from the cliff, we added a little water to make it slimy. Carefully we made a ball out of clay and sand. Lastly, everyone threw their balls into the sea.

Above the beach is a large grassy area, here we played lots of sports. Our favourite was the balance board - it’s kind of like a skateboard. By now we were hot and hungry. Time for lunch and a rest.
